MY APPROACH

You don’t have a lead problem.

Pour leads into a company where growth has stalled, and all you get are leads that stall.

THE SETUP

It starts with the CEO, because the stall is never in one department.

Before we go looking for where it stalled, you and I settle three questions.

  1. Growth and how fast you need it. The number, the motion that gets you there (new logos, expansion, channel), and what’s in the way.

  2. The decisions only you can make. Price. A partner that isn’t paying off. A product nobody can prove. A reference customer stuck in legal. Everything stops while one of these waits, and nothing on a dashboard shows it.

  3. Who has the authority to fix it. Every part of this belongs to a different function, so someone needs the standing to work across all of them. We figure out who that is and what they need from you.

THE ENGINE

Six parts. Get them right, and you go faster.

Growth starts and ends with understanding your customer. Obvious, right? Not as much as you’d think.

  1. Act on customer insights. Who they are, what they’re trying to fix, and how they buy. You get this by talking to customers. Most teams have a persona deck and call it the same thing.

  2. Provide value. Your solutions solve their problem at a price that makes sense. (If you’re building a slide to justify the price, it doesn’t.)

  3. Deliver. They get what they bought, when you said they would.

  4. Every partner wins. Distributors, resellers, integrators, whoever sells or supports what you make. They must come out ahead too, or they stop sending you customers.

  5. Gather proof. References, case studies with numbers, reviews, logos, customers who’ll take a call. This is the hard work, and it’s the part everyone skips.

  6. Expand. Renew, upsell, cross-sell, referrals. Then back to the top.

When all six work, customers buy sooner and stay longer.

THE GAPS

Marketing owns the customer experience. So marketing sees the gaps.

It’s the only function involved in every step.

Between what sales promised and what delivery shipped. Between a happy customer and a reference nobody asked for.

Find them, name them, close them.

I find what’s stopping you.

THE QUIET PART, CONTINUED

This is what marketing was supposed to be. Before it became a lead factory.

Most CEOs have never seen marketing do this job, because marketing stopped doing it. So they staffed it like a service desk and got a service desk.

If you heard “marketing” and your eyes glazed over, I understand.
